Today, I took the time to watch Caleb Wilson and North Carolina square off against Cameron Boozer and Duke in a very competitive, college basketball game. This game did not disappoint and both players played well, and Caleb Wilson was tremendous in this game. Henri Veesaar, Dame Sarr, and Seth Trimble also shined, and North Carolina played really well down the stretch to get a comeback win over Duke. Here are my thoughts on how they and other various prospects fared in this game.

Caleb Wilson had a tremendous showing in his team’s win over Duke. He is a tall, very athletic forward that did a great job of making plays on both ends of the floor, as he especially excelled as a scorer and defender in this game.
Wilson did a great job of scoring out of the post. He has terrific footwork and shooting touch, and he would consistently use moves to score on tough shots, both out of the high post and from the block. He showed a knack for making smooth jumpers, and he was able to score in the toughest of scenarios. He also was able to make a three-pointer as well as use a quick jab step to to make a mid-range jumper, and Wilson really excelled at shooting and scoring the basketball.
He also passed and handled the ball well. Wilson can ably pass out of the post as well as off the dribble, and he handles the ball really well for a player his size. He also was able to set a solid screen to help get his teammate an open driving lane early on.
Also, he was able to chip in to get a few boards when he was on the floor. Wilson also defended really well. He is a very athletic, rangy defender that did a great job of getting stops for his team. Wilson would swoop in to block shots and also use his length to contest shots to force misses. He also would intercept passes and poke balls away to get steals.
In general, Wilson had a dominant showing in his team’s win over Duke. He had a tremendous all-around game, as he even showed some range in addition to make one terrific play after another, and he could be the top pick of the 2026 draft, as he could end up being a superstar in the NBA.
Henri Veesaar also played very well in his team’s win over Duke. After a slow start, Veesaar had a terrific second half, as he did a great job of making plays down the stretch to help his team get the victory.
Veesaar is a very skilled, mobile big man that did a great job of making shots, especially in the second half. He was able to knock down a spot-up three to show his range. He did a great job of catching balls, using his strength to get positioning, and using his scoring touch to score down low. He also has a crafty pump fake and can ably score off the dribble.
Plus, he also did a good job of making timely passes to create scoring chances for his teammates. He did hold the ball once that got poked away, which led to a turnover, but Veesaar still showcased satisfactory playmaking skills, nonetheless.
Also, Veesaar did a very good job of rebounding the basketball. He also defended well, especially when defending down low. He would hold his ground and use his verticality, size, and strength to contest and block shots to force misses. In summary, Veesaar had a strong all-around game, and would be a good value pick for an NBA team in the first round of the 2026 draft.
Cameron Boozer put forth a fairly solid performance in his team’s tough loss to North Carolina. On paper, he put up good counting numbers for his team. On the other hand, he also did take plenty of shots to get to that point total, he missed plenty of makable shots, and he also didn’t take care of the ball or defend nearly as well as he should have.
Boozer showed a decent ability to score off the dribble and on hustle plays. He also shot the three-ball well, as he excels as a spot-up shooter, and also made a nifty three on a pick-and-pop play. He also was able to score on a strong drive in transition, as he can score as a downhill driver, and he also threw down a dunk on the break. However, he doesn’t seem to be especially agile as he is a little stiff-hipped, and he tended to miss on tough shots in traffic. He especially struggled to score on post plays, and he would sometimes end up getting his shots blocked.
As a playmaker, he was not particularly great in this game. For the positives, he would sometimes do a good of moving the basketball and passing out of the post, and he would sometimes pass out of double teams. However, he also would throw inaccurate passes and even got picked off once. He also would make careless mistakes, as he also was called for traveling and set a moving screen another time.
Also, Cameron Boozer did a very good job of rebounding the basketball. He also seemed to play adequate defense. He would use his length to contest shots to force misses, and he showed the willingness and positioning to guard shooters. He also poked a ball off of a driver to help force a turnover. However, he would sometimes commit silly fouls due to over-aggressiveness, and he also would tend to give up positioning to allow scores down low.
Overall, Cameron Boozer had a decent showing in his team’s loss to North Carolina. He was able to make shots in a variety of ways and rebounded well, but he also made too many mistakes in this game, and didn’t quite dominate like he should have. Honestly, he might even be a tad overrated as a prospect, and I’m not all the way sold on him, but even still, Boozer is a skilled big man that will probably end up being a lottery pick in the 2026 draft, as he could end up being a good, but not quite a great player in the NBA.
Dame Sarr played well in his team’s tough loss to North Carolina. He shot the ball really well, and he had a very good game, as he made good plays on both sides of the ball.
Sarr he did a great job of making corner threes and long twos, as he was excellent at making shots from the corners. He also threw down a high-flying dunk off of a quick backdoor cut, and Sarr excels as a cutter on offense.
He also was able to throw a no-look dime to a teammate on the break. On another play though, he threw a hasty pass that got intercepted. Still, Sarr operates well as a secondary facilitator that can sometimes run the point, which can help a team immensely on offense.
He also showed a solid ability to rebound the basketball. Sarr was also able to rip a ball away from an opposing ball handler to get a steal. Another time though, he defended too aggressively and was called for a foul that time.
Overall, Sarr had a strong showing in this game. He is a very athletic swingman that has a great deal of upside, but has been inconsistent as a player this season. Still, he is an intriguing prospect that could end up being worth a look to NBA teams in the late first to the second round range of the 2026 draft.
Seth Trimble had a strong showing in his team’s win over Duke. He played really well on both ends of the floor, as he especially excelled as a scorer and defender.
Trimble did a good job of scoring off the dribble, as he can use moves to get past his man, and score on tough, buttery jumpers amidst the defense. He also was able to make a corner three, and he also can use his body and decelerate to draw free throws on quick drives in transition.
He also seemed to be about average as a playmaker. Trimble was able to make some drive and kick passes, but sometimes he would struggle to protect the basketball. He also was able to get a couple of boards in this game.
He also defended really well. Trimble is a tenacious defender that would often get his hands on passes to get steals, and he also showcased his athleticism by flying in to block a shot on the break. Overall, Trimble is a very athletic guard that did a great job of scoring and defending in this game, and he could end up being a solid role player in the NBA.
Caleb Foster had a fairly solid showing in this game. He was able to make a variety of shots to help his team generate some offense. He can use hesitation moves and shot fakes to score off the dribble. He also managed to score on a put back, as well as make a corner three. He would sometimes miss tough shots in traffic, but Foster showed that he can ably score in a variety of ways.
He also displayed satisfactory playmaking skills. Foster showed a knack for making passes off the dribble as well as in transition, which helped enable him to collect assists. However, sometimes he would throw hasty passes that would result in turnovers.
He didn’t grab many rebounds in this game. Also, Foster is an active defender that was able to get a deflection once to almost get a steal once. Overall, Foster is a promising second round prospect whose blend of scoring, playmaking, and athleticism could enable him to be an effective role player at the NBA level.
Derek Dixon quietly had a satisfactory game in his team’s win over Duke. He is a 6-4 freshman guard that showed the knack for making threes, as he can do so off the catch and dribble. He is a solid passer that can make passes off the dribble and in transition.
On the downside, he would sometimes take tough shots that would lead to some bad misses. He also struggled to defend taller opponents on the defensive end. While he isn’t an elite athlete or a flashy player, he is a tall playmaker that can score in a variety of ways and make timely passes. Overall, Dixon is an agile, skilled guard whose offensive skills could enable him to make it to the NBA someday.
Isaiah Evans did not play well in this game, but he was able to make some very solid plays at times, although his second half performance was lackluster. Evans has shown an improved ability to score off the dribble, and he has a crafty pump fake that he can use to score and draw fouls on the defense. He also ran quickly off of a screen to make a mid-range jumper to showcase his movement shooting skills, and he also made an open three off the catch another time. However, Evans didn’t shoot the ball well, and he took a lot of questionable contested mid-range shots that led to misses.
He also showed the ability to pass off the dribble. He also is a rangy defender that can get steals and blocks, although he would sometimes struggle to defend quick ball handlers, which would lead him to commit fouls. Overall, Evans is an athletic, skilled sharpshooting wing that is a first round talent, but his inconsistent play could be so pronounced that he may slide to be more of a second round prospect. It’s a little tough to peg his draft projection, but it seems he may be a high ceiling, but also a fairly low floor sort of prospect. He is a talented prospect that could end up going somewhere in the late first to the second round range, as his ability to shoot and be a movement shooter, combined with projectable upside could enable him to be a solid role player in the NBA.
All in all, those are my thoughts on how Wilson, Boozer, Veesaar, and other various prospects fared in this game. Thanks for reading.
