Brief Recap and Picks for the 2026 G-League Combine Scrimmage Teams

Recently, a handful of players participated at the 2026 G-League Combine, and four teams played two games each at this event. Each of the four teams won one and lost one, and six players ended up getting invited to the 2026 NBA Draft Combine: Jacob Cofie, Aaron Nkrumah, Rafael Castro, Noam Yaacov, Trey Kaufman-Renn, and Bryce Hopkins.

Some of the players played very well in the 2026 G-League Combine scrimmage games. Here is essentially a recap of what happened in those games, as well as my picks for the 2026 G-League Elite Camp scrimmage teams.

Game 1: Team One 77, Team Two 74

Team One managed to get a three-point win in the first game of the day, and they received a handful of solid performances from their players.

Jacob Cofie scored 13 points, made 2 threes, and he also had 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in this game.

Fletcher Loyer scored 13 points, as he made 3 threes in this game. Jaron Pierre scored 11 points and had 3 assists, while Melvin Council Jr. scored 10 points and dished out 6 assists.

For Team 2, Trey Kaufman-Renn scored 17 points on 7 of 8 shooting, made 2 threes, collected 12 rebounds, and was a +10 in this game.

Noam Yaacov and Quadir Copeland scored 13 points each, and Yaacov also had 3 assists in this game.

Game 2: Team Three 97, Team Four 87

For Team Three, Jaylin Sellers scored 20 points and had 5 rebounds to help his team get the win.

Bryce Hopkins also had 17 points and 8 rebounds. MJ Collins scored 12 points, and DJ Armstrong also scored 10 points. Also, Xaivian Lee also dished out 8 assists.

For Team Four, Aaron Nkrumah scored 22 points and made 2 threes in this game.

Rafael Castro, Michael Ajayi, and Tre Donaldson scored 11 points each, as Castro grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked a shot, Ajayi made 2 threes, had 5 rebounds and blocked a shot, and Donaldson made a three, and dished out 2 assists in this game.

Game 3: Team Two 105, Team Three 77

For Team Two, a handful of players played very well to help them get the win here.

Graham Ike scored 16 points and made a three in this game. Keba Keita scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds. Zach Cleveland scored 12 points, dished out 3 assists, and was a +25.

Mark Mitchell scored 11 points on 4 of 4 shooting, made a three, and had 3 assists and 2 blocks in this game. Noam Yaacov scored 14 points on 7 of 9 shooting, and dished out 5 assists.

Seth Trimble also scored 11 points. Quadir Copeland dished out 6 assists and blocked two shots.

For Team Three, DJ Armstrong scored 14 points and made 4 three-pointers. Malik Reneau scored 15 points on 7 of 9 shooting and made a three. Bryce Hopkins scored 11 points and had 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Game 4: Team Four 98, Team One 68

For Team Four, Chris Bell scored 14 points on 4 of 4 shooting, made 2 threes, and was a +24.

Tre Donaldson scored 12 points on 6 of 10 shooting, and he had 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal in this game. Jaden Henley scored 15 points and had 8 rebounds. Michael Ajayi scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Boopie Miller scored 12 points and had 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.

For Team One, Aiden Tobiason scored 13 points and made 2 threes. Fletcher Loyer scored 11 points and made 3 threes. Ernest Udeh scored 8 points on 4 of 4 shooting.

Without further ado, here are my picks for the 2026 All-G-League Combine scrimmage teams.

2026 All G-League Combine Scrimmage First Team:

F Keba Keita, Team Two
F Trey Kaufman-Renn, Team Two (Pick for G-League Elite Camp MVP)
F Michael Ajayi, Team Four
G Aaron Nkrumah, Team Four
G Tre Donaldson, Team Four

Trey Kaufman-Renn averaged 12 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block per game, and he made 67% from the field, and two threes at this event.

Aaron Nkrumah averaged 15.5 points per game, posted a 2 to 1 Assist to Turnover ratio, made 52% from the field, 33% of his threes, and did a good job of getting steals in the two games here.

Michael Ajayi averaged 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, posted a 2 to 1 Assist to Turnvoer ratio, and he made both 50% from the field and on his three-pointers, and he played very well at this event.

Tre Donaldson was very efficient at the 2026 G-League Elite Camp scrimmage games. He averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, made 64% from the field, and posted a 1.8 Assist to Turnover ratio in these games.

Keba Keita averaged 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, and made 76% from the field, and he did a great job of scoring and rebounding the basketball in the two games here.

2026 All G-League Combine Scrimmage Second Team:

C Rafael Castro, Team Four
F Jacob Cofie, Team One
F Malik Reneau, Team Three
G Bryce Hopkins, Team Three
G Noam Yaacov, Team Two

Rafael Castro was the hallmark of efficiency at this event, as he averaged 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1 block per game, and made 73% from the field, as he did not commit a single turnover in either of the two games.

Bryce Hopkins averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds per game, and he made 56% from the field and all of his free throws, as he excelled as a scorer and rebounder at this event.

Noam Yaacov averaged 13.5 points and 4 assists per game, and he made 65% from the field. He did struggle with turnovers, but he still played quite well, especially on offense in these games.

Jacob Cofie showcased an intriguing versatility and skill set here, as he made all three of his three-pointers that he took in the two games he played here, and he also did a great job of blocking shots in these games.

Malik Reneau was very efficient at this event, as he averaged 9.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game, and made 82% from the field.

2026 All G-League Combine Scrimmage Third Team:

C Graham Ike, Team Two
F Mark Mitchell, Team Two
G DJ Armstrong, Team Three
G Fletcher Loyer, Team One
G Quadir Copeland, Team Two

Fletcher Loyer shot the three-ball very well, as he made 55% of his three-pointers in the two games. He averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist per game, and he did not commit a single turnover at this event.

D.J. Armstrong excelled as a sharpshooter, as he averaged 12 points per game, as he made 62% from the field and 67% of his threes in these games.

Graham Ike averaged 11.5 points per game, and he did a great job of scoring the basketball, as well as getting to the free throw line and making his free throws at this event.

Mark Mitchell averaged 8.5 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, and he made all of the three-pointers he took, so he showcased significant versatility, but he also struggled with turnovers at this event.

Quadir Copeland showcased versatility, as he was very efficient as a scorer, showed some playmaking and strong defensive skills. He did struggle with some turnovers and his three-point shot, but his ability to play multiple positions and contribute in a wide array of ways helped him get the nod here.

Honorable Mention:

G Jaylin Sellers, Team Three, F Chris Bell, Team Four, F Zach Cleveland, Team Two, F Jaden Henley, Team Four, G Boopie Miller, Team Four

Liberty’s 6-7 forward, Zach Cleveland, whom played for Team Two, had a very good +28 in the two games he played combined, and he also posted a 2 to 1 Assist to Turnover ratio in these games. He was efficient as a scorer, as he scored 16 points on 5 of 10 shooting and made all of his free throws in the two games combiined, but he will need to improve his three-point shot in the meantime. That said, he gets an honorable mention nod here, as he played well at this event, and probably will end up on an NBA summer league roster a few months from now.
