Adequate scorer off the dribble
Can post up smaller players
Solid rebounder for his size
Adept at collecting steals
Above average athlete

Needs to improve his shooting
Can display spotty shot selection
Can be too scoring focused on offense
Can have lapses defensively
Not a true point guard, but is undersized to play the two

Summary:

Zhuric Phelps is a strong, athletic combo guard that currently plays for Texas A&M. He is an energetic player that can mix it up to score in the paint and can rebound and make plays defensively, but he will really need to improve his jump shot, and he may need to show NBA teams that he can reliably run the point at higher levels. Still, he has the skills to be able to compete for a roster spot in the NBA sometime in the future.
