The Top 10 Prospects of the West Region in the 2025 NCAA Tournament

Sixty-eight teams made it to the 2025 NCAA Tournament after Selection Sunday was held a couple of days ago, and the West Region looks poised to be a stacked region for watching draft prospects this year, and every prospect on this list is currently on the top 100 prospects list as of right now. Without further ado, here are the top prospects of the West Region in this tournament.

1. Derik Queen, F-C, Maryland (8)
He is a strong, mobile big man that has a knack for making plays with the ball in his hands to help his team on the scoreboard and glass. Queen can score the basketball in a variety of ways, is a good passer for his size, and has better than advertised athleticism and handles. He’s not the flashiest player, but he is a very skilled, high IQ basketball player that is a likely lottery pick for the 2025 draft, and could end up being a star player in the NBA.

2. Liam McNeeley, F, UConn (9)
He is a very skilled, cerebral shot maker that can really shoot and score the basketball. He has better than advertised athleticism and has a very good feel for the game. His offense is ahead of his defense, but McNeeley is a very skilled player that has a polished skill set, and he is a very talented sharpshooter that could end up being a star player in the NBA.

3. Jeremiah Fears, G, Oklahoma (15)
He is a fleet-footed playmaker that may arguably be the best ball handler in the 2025 draft, and he has a knack for getting into the lane to make plays for himself and his teammates. He’ll need to improve his outside shot, but he is a very skilled point guard that has been an electrifying presence at the point, and his skills and upside could enable him to be a solid starter in the NBA.
4. Adou Thiero, G-F, Arkansas (33)
He is a very athletic, energetic swingman that excels as a scorer and at making hustle plays on both ends of the floor. Thiero has a great motor and brings it every time when he is on the floor, and while he’ll need to significantly improve his jump shot, his skill set, athleticism, and work ethic could enable him to be a solid player in the NBA.

5. Nique Clifford, G-F, Colorado State (37)
He is an agile, skilled swingman that has been very productive for Colorado State, and he is a dynamic playmaker that can really shoot it and is an underrated playmaker with the ball in his hands. He is a productive player that plays at a steady pace, and he is an underrated prospect that could end up being a first round pick in the 2025 draft.
6. Alex Karaban, F, UConn (39)
He is a smart, skilled forward that has a polished skill set, as he tends to make the right basketball plays, is a good shooter, and plays sound positional defense. While he only possesses average physical tools, Karaban’s high basketball IQ, versatility, and intangibles could enable him to be the consummate role player in the NBA.
7. JT Toppin, F-C, Texas Tech (50)
He is an athletic, high-motor big man that can make energetic plays on both ends of the floor. He has been very productive at the collegiate level, and while he’ll need to expand his skill set offensively, he has a polished skill set that lends well into a rotational big man role at the NBA level.
8. Zvonimir Ivisic, C, Arkansas (53)
Ivisic is a very tall, skilled big man that has a solid set of offensive skills, as he can shoot from the outside, has some passing skills, and can block some shots to help his team protect the paint. He’ll need to be more consistent in games, but he can be a formidable force when he can get into a rhythm.
9. Alex Condon, F-C, Florida (56)
He is a skilled, mobile big man that is a fairly solid passer and operates well from the post. He is solid, but not outstanding at any one skill, but his versatility and skill set could enable him to be a solid role player in the NBA.
10. Jalon Moore, F, Oklahoma (64)
He is a smooth, skilled forward that can score the basketball in a variety of ways, and he has projectable upside as a versatile wing that could end up being a solid role player in the NBA.
