Summary:
Sagaba Konate is an athletic, energetic big man that will look to make high motor plays on both ends of the floor. He’s been West Virginia’s best interior player during the 2017-18 season, and he has been their rim protector, as he has helped lead them to the Sweet 16 this year.
If he were four inches taller, Konate would be considered a potential or likely first round prospect. However, he is undersized to play inside, and he does not seem to possess a whole lot of perimeter skills.
But if he can manage to get invited to the NBA Draft Combine, and play well there as well as in workouts, Konate could perhaps end up going late in the second round if he decides to stay in the draft.
