Summary:
Nick Ward is a tough, bruising power forward that can score and rebound the basketball. Ward is a physical banger who plays an old, throwback style, but his game may not fit the modern NBA, as he does not possess great mobility or much perimeter skills.
He was expected to be the featured scorer on Michigan State in the game against Kansas, but he struggled mightily on both ends of the floor. He played fairly well this year as a junior, but he didn’t seem to take as big of a leap as expected. Right now, he may be a borderline second round candidate for the 2019 NBA Draft.
