2020 Top 100 Prospect Rank: 52

Pros:

Solid scorer off the dribble
Good shooter from all over the floor
Terrific free throw shooter
Prolific scorer that can put up points in a hurry
Decent playmaker
Good athlete

Cons:

Streaky shooter
Can struggle to score in traffic
Ball dominant
Can be too scoring focused on offense
Needs to improve his defense
Does not collect enough steals or blocks
Undersized to play the point

Summary:

Markus Howard is an athletic, skilled combo guard that can really shoot and score the basketball.  He had a 52-point game in his team’s win over Providence that helped create a lot of buzz for him, and he is a prolific scorer from all over the court.

On the other hand, he will still need to improve in the other facets of the game, but if he continues to play well, he could end up being a second round pick in 2020.
