2021 Top 100 Prospect Rank: 90
Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:
Decent scorer off the dribble
Adequate shooter
Very good free throw shooter
Tremendous free throw generator
Moves well off the ball on offense
Adequate playmaker
Adequate defender
Very good athlete
Very good motor

Cons:
Inconsistent long-range shooter
Prone to hoisting up questionable shots
Can play too wildly on offense
Can be too scoring focused on offense
Needs to improve his rebounding
Can be unfocused defensively
Not a true point guard, is undersized to play the two

Summary:
Mac McClung is a skilled, agile combo guard that can shoot and score the basketball.  His shooting percentages have fluctuated over the years, and he struggled to make shots consistently at Georgetown, but he had a solid season this year as a junior at Texas Tech.

McClung can put up a lot of points in a hurry, and he scored 76 points in a 3-game stretch in January against Texas, Baylor, and West Virginia.  He will need to improve his playmaking skills and be a little more consistent with his three-point shot, but he could be an intriguing option for NBA teams to consider in the second round range of the 2021 draft.
