Solid athlete
Solid motor

Cons:
Needs to improve his free throw shooting

Needs to improve his playmaking skills
Can struggle to guard players out on the perimeter
Old for a draft prospect, may have limited upside

Summary:
Kevin Samuel is a strong, mobile big man that could project to be a defensive specialist in the NBA. He is a very efficient scorer that does a good job of scoring in the post, and he also is a solid rebounder and interior defender that excels at blocking shots and getting stops to protect the paint for his team.

For the time being, he is a productive big man that has flown under the radar as a draft prospect, as he currently does not have much draft buzz at the moment. He will need to extend his shooting range and show that he can guard quicker players out on the perimeter, but Samuel’s solid interior skills could make him a good pick for an NBA team in the second round whenever he decides to enter the NBA draft.
