Summary:
Jontay Porter is a athletic, skilled big man that has a diverse skill set when he is on the floor. He can knock down jump shots from deep, and he also is a good passer on offense. He also is an active rebounder and defender when he is on the court. However, he can be inconsistent in games, as he may have a tendency to disappear for stretches at times.
Overall, Jontay Porter is a talented player that can definitely help a team’s offense, but there are serious concerns about his injury histry. He ended up missing the 2018-19 season due to suffering an ACL and MCL injury, and unfortunately, he re-injured his ACL recently. Right now, Porter will have a long road ahead to recover from his knee injury, but if he can make a full recovery, he could perhaps end up being a first round pick sometime in the near future.
