2019 NBA Draft: Round 2, Pick 50 by the Indiana Pacers (rights traded to the Utah Jazz)

Pros:

Fairly good scorer off the dribble
Can post up smaller players
Decent shooter
Excels at scoring on off-ball motion plays
Good rebounder
Decent defender
Above average athlete
Tremendous strength for a player his size

Cons:

Streaky shooter
Lacks an elite first step off the dribble
Needs to improve his playmaking skills
Lacks elite speed or quickness to defend on the perimeter
Limited experience against top competition

Summary:

Jarrell Brantley was consistently played well in the 2019 Portsmouth Invitational, as he would bull his way to the hoop to get strong scores off of aggressive drives as well as in the post, and he also shot the ball very well in the final day of the event.  He is a strong, physical specimen that has the size to play multiple positions.  Brantley’s not the fastest or quickest player, but his ability to score and rebound could allow him to be a potential second round pick in 2019.
