Summary:
Donte Grantham is a very athletic combination forward that may have the skills to excel as a two-way player in the NBA.
Right now, he projects more into a defensive specialist role, as his excellent physical profile allows him to guard multiple positions on the floor. Grantham is a rangy defender that can pick off plenty of passes to get steals, and he has the athleticism and timing to be a shot blocker.
Offensively though, Grantham has plenty of skills, but he can sometimes struggle to put them all together. Grantham plays like a point forward, but he can tend to fade into the background too much.
Grantham was having a terrific senior year, but he suffered an unfortunate knee injury against Notre Dame that caused him to miss the rest of this season. Right now, he looks to be a second round prospect, but if things pan out for him, he could end up being a Travis Outlaw type of player in the NBA.
