Decent scorer off the dribble
Adequate shooter
Excels at scoring on the move
Can post up smaller players
Adequate playmaker for his size
Fairly good rebounder
Decent defensive player
Good athlete

Cons:

Inconsistent shooter
Prone to hoisting up questionable shots
Tendency to over-dribble, which can lead to turnovers
Can play too wildly on offense
Can have lapses defensively
Can be too inconsistent in games
Missed considerable time due to a knee injury

Summary:

Chris Smith is a very athletic combo forward that excels at attacking the basket to score the basketball.  He also may be able to defend multiple positions, but he will need to be a more consistent shooter and playmaker in games.

He had an underwhelming in his first two seasons in college, but Smith played well as a junior, and he also turned in a good senior season before he ended up getting hurt, which caused him to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.  Currently, he is a a second round prospect in the 2021 draft.
