Chris Clarke

Updated as of 11/21/2020, scouting report written by Alan Lu.
2020 rankings were finalized on 11/17/20.

Height: 6-6
Weight: 220
College: Texas Tech
Classification: Redshirt Senior
Birthdate: 1/8/1996

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:

Excels at scoring on the move
Decent scorer off the dribble
Good playmaker
Good rebounder
Fairly good defender
Solid athlete
Very good motor

Cons:

Needs to improve his shooting
Reluctant to take outside shots
Lacks an elite first step off the dribble
Struggles to score in traffic
Unselfish to a fault
Can gamble too much defensively
Old for a draft prospect, may have limited upside
Potential character risk, was dismissed by his former team

Summary:

Chris Clarke is a tough, physical point forward that is a solid facilitator, and he also can rebound and defend when he is on the court.  He will need to improve his jump shot and be more assertive on offense, and there are character questions, as he was dismissed by his former team after having received an indefinite suspension.  Clarke had a solid senior season though, and he could be a potential second round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
