Summary:
Charles Matthews is an athletic, skilled swingman that excels at attacking the basket to garner scores for his team. He is quite adept at scoring on drives to the hoop, and he also can away with a handful of rebounds.
He had a very good showing in his team’s win over Texas A&M in the Sweet 16, as he scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in that game. He had a solid junior season, but he will need to improve his ability to shoot the basketball, and recently he suffered a significant setback as he tore his ACL in a recent workout. Right now, he may project to be a second round pick for the upcoming draft. If he can recover from this injury, and make strides to improve as a shooter in games, he could end up being a solid role player in the NBA.
