Pros:

Adequate shooter, especially from deep
Adequate scorer off the dribble
Can post up smaller players
Handles the ball well
Adequate defender
Solid athlete

Cons:

Streaky shooter
Struggles to consistently create his own shot
Needs to improve his rebounding
Can be unfocused defensively
Not a true point guard, but is undersized to play the two
Only average size for his position

Summary:

Boogie Ellis is an agile, skilled combo guard that can knock down plenty of jumpers when gets into a rhythm.  Healso is a versatile scorer that is also a surprisingly good scorer in the post.  On the other hand, he can be quite streaky with his jump shot, and he will also need to show that he can effectively run the point.  He reportedly will be entering the transfer portal away from Memphis, but he could project to be be a potential second round pick in 2022.
