I decided to write on who I felt were the best performances in the last two rounds of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Here were the best performances in the Final Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament in the games that were played on Saturday.

Purdue’s 7-4 center, Zach Edey scored 20 points, and had 12 rebounds and 4 assists in his team’s win over NC State.

In the UConn-Alabama game, Stephon Castle had 21 points, and had 5 rebounds. Donovan Clingan scored 18 points, and had 5 rebounds and 4 blocks in his team’s win over Alabama.

Grant Nelson’s poster dunk over Clingan was one of the best dunks of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Mark Sears scored 24 points for Alabama, and Grant Nelson had 19 points and 15 rebounds in his team’s loss to UConn. In addition, UConn had also strong performances from Cam Spencer, Alex Karaban, Tristen Newton, and Samson Johnson.

There were a lot of strong candidates, but without further ado, here are my picks for the Three Stars of the Saturday’s Final Four Games:

  1. Zach Edey (20 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks in Purdue’s win over NC State)
  2. Stephon Castle (21 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in UConn’s win over Alabama)
  3. Donovan Clingan (18 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks in UConn’s win over Alabama)

In Monday’s National Championship game, UConn defeated Purdue 75-60 to win the National Championship. Tristen Newton scored 20 points, made 2 threes, and had 7 assists and 5 rebounds to help his team get the win. Stephon Castle had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in this game, and he also made a three-pointer to help his team defeat Purdue.

Meanwhile, Purdue’s 7-4 center Zach Edey scored 37 points and had 10 rebounds in the loss, but his team was not very competitive in the second half of this game.

Without further ado, here are my picks for the Three Stars of Monday’s National Championship game:

  1. Tristen Newton (20 points, made 2 threes, and had 7 assists and 5 rebounds in UConn’s win over Purdue)
  2. Stephon Castle (15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in UConn’s win over Purdue)
  3. Zach Edey (37 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks in his team’s loss to UConn)

All in all, those are my thoughts on who had the best performances in the final two rounds of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Thanks for reading.
