He possesses a unique skill package, as he is a versatile scorer that can make shots from anywhere on the floor, and he also has the potential to develop into a rim protector at the next level.​On the other hand, he can be quite inconsistent at times.  But regardless, Boatwright may have the skills to be a good player in the NBA.​
