Has good defensive potential
Solid athlete
Good size to play out on the wing

Cons:

Lacks an elite first step off the dribble
Does not draw enough free throws
Needs to improve his passing ability
Does not collect enough steals or blocks
Missed an entire season due to a shoulder injury

Summary:

Aubrey Dawkins is an athletic swingman that can shoot and score the basketball.  He really excels at knocking down threes, and his best skill on offense is his ability to make shots off of spot-up opportunities.

As for the rest of his game, he will need refinement.  Some feel that his play during the Adidas Nations Tournament this past summer may warrant serious draft consideration for him.

At the moment, Dawkins may rate as a second round prospect for the 2019 draft, as his athleticism and jump shot may be significant factors in him getting long looks from NBA scouts and teams.
