Decent shot blocker
Above average athlete

Cons:

Didn’t shoot the ball very well as a freshman
Needs to improve his face-up game
Needs to improve his playmaking skills
Can be too passive on offense
Not an elite shot blocker
Can have lapses defensively
Not an elite athlete

Summary:

Armando Bacot is a strong, mobile big man that could project to be a rotational big man in the NBA.  He can score in the post, and he also is a very good rebounder.  He has the potential to excel as an interior defender, but he will need to improve his focus and defend better on a consistent basis.  He also will need to improve his face-up game.  So far, he’s played well in his role at North Carolina this season, and he projects to be a second round prospect for the 2021 draft.
