In the 2024 Adidas Eurocamp that played this past week, there were six teams and a total of nine games that played over the course of three days. There were draft eligible prospects on two of the teams, Team Eurocamp 1 and Team Eurocamp 2, although there were a few on those teams that didn’t declare to enter the 2024 draft, and there were future prospects on the other four teams.

6-8 Serbian forward Nikola Djurisic has played very well in various pre-draft camps, and his strong play at the 2024 Adidas Eurocamp could enable him to go in the late first to the second round range of the 2024 draft. (Photo: Ivica Veselinov/Mega MIS, via ABA Liga)

The older teams played better in this tournament, Team Eurocamp 1 and Team Eurocamp 2, while Team Next Gen also won two of their three games. Team Eurocamp 1 defeated Team Eurocamp 2 in the battle to see which team would remain undefeated in this tournament, and Nikola Djurisic was crowned MVP of the 2024 Adidas Eurocamp.

In analyzing the statistics of this tournament, here are our picks for the 2024 All-Adidas Eurocamp Teams.

Our Picks for the 2024 All-Adidas Eurocamp 1st Team:

C Brice Dessert, Team Eurocamp 1
F Michael Ruzic, Team Next Gen*
F Andrej Kostic, Team Next Gen*
G Ruben Dominguez, Team Eurocamp 1
G Nikola Djurisic, Team Eurocamp 1 (Our Pick for the MVP)

Nikola Djurisic continued to dazzle with his strong playmaking prowess, and he also shot the ball well at this event, especially in his first two of three games that he played at this event. In this tournament, the 6-8 Serbian forward averaged 11.7 points, 5.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game.

He helped his team to an undefeated 3-0 record while making 48% from the field, 36% of his three-pointers, posted a 1.8 to 1 Assist to Turnover ratio, and he posted a total of a combined +39 over the course of three games. He’s shown that he is a 6-8 point forward that has very good court vision and an improved jump shot, and he could end up getting drafted in the late first to the second round range on draft day.

6-11 French center Brice Dessert did a great job of scoring and rebounding the basketball, and he provided rim protection to help Team Eurocamp 1 to a 3-0 record at this event. He averaged 14.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, he made 70% from the field, and he posted a combined plus-minus of +46 over the course of three games. Dessert’s strong play in this tournament could enable him to move up draft boards, as he could be a possible second round pick in the 2024 draft.

Michael Ruzic really excelled as a shooter and scorer at this event, and he also showed off some solid playmaking and defensive skills at this event. The 6-8 Croatian forward averaged 17.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game. He made 58% from the field and 50% of his threes, and he helped Team Next Gen get to a 2-1 record in these games. He had a great showing at this event, and Ruzic will be a prospect to watch for the 2025 draft.

6-6 Serbian swingman Andrej Kostic averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game, and he made 56% from the field, 45% of his threes, and 78% of his free throws at this event. He thrived as a shooter, scorer, and facilitator, and he will be a prospect to watch for the 2025 draft.

Our Picks for the 2024 All-Adidas Eurocamp 2nd Team:

C Bogoljub Markovic, Team Eurocamp 2
F Roman Domon, Team Eurocamp 2*
G Darryn Peterson, Team 3SSB Select*
G Caleb Holt, Team 3SSB Select*
G Joson Sanon, Team USA Select*

Bogoljub Markovic averaged 12.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game, and he helped his team to a 2-1 record, where their only loss was a one-point loss to the undefeated Team Eurocamp 1. Markovic also made 62% from the field and 3 of his 5 three-pointers in three games. His only blemish was that he did not pick up an assist and committed nine turnovers in the three games, but Markovic excelled at making plays on both ends of the floor.

Roman Domon was very efficient as he averaged 11.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.7 assists per game. He made 59% from the field, 43% of his threes, and 85% of his free throws in the three games at this event. He also averaged two points per field goal attempt. The only thing was that he didn’t seem to take enough shots in games, but he had strong, very productive outings at this event.

Caleb Holt played very well for Team 3SSB Select in the three games at this event. The 6-5 guard averaged 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. He also made 56% from the field and 4 of 7 three-pointers in the three games he played. While his team won just one of three games and though he made just 69% of his free throws, Holt did just about everything well at the 2024 Adidas Eurocamp.

Darryn Peterson also played well for Team 3SSB Select at the 2024 Adidas Eurocamp. The 6-5 American guard showed that he can get it done on both ends of the floor while being a bucket getter. He averaged 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He also made 49% from the field, 50% of his threes, and 80% of his free throws, all while posting a 2-to-1 Assist to Turnover ratio. He didn’t get to the free throw line nearly as often as he should have, and his team won just one of three games that they played, but Peterson showed off solid all-around skills at this event.

Joson Sanon did a great job of scoring the basketball, and the 6-5 American guard was the standout performer on an 0-3 Team USA Select squad at this event. The Arizona State commit averaged 22.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, as he made 43% from the field, 47% of his threes, and 78% of his free throws, and he’s looking like he could make a significant impact on the college basketball scene next season.

He shot the three-ball well, and he got to the free throw line a bunch in the three games that he played here. The only negatives were that he played on a hapless 0-3 team that lost by an average of 27 points in the three games, and he posted a combined plus-minus of -52 due to his team’s poor performance. But Sanon played really well individually, and he would’ve made the first team if his team had posted a winning record in this camp.
