A Brief Recap of Day 2 of the 2025 Portsmouth Invitational

Here is a brief recap of the three games that played on Day 2 of the 2025 Portsmouth Invitational. The standout performers looked to be Nelly Junior Joseph, Chance McMillan, Kobe Sanders, and Johnell Davis, and there were many strong performances from various players on this day.

Game 3: Sales Systems Ltd defeats Norfolk Sports Club, 92-82
For Sales Systems Ltd., Kobe Sanders scored 26 points, had 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks, and made 3 three-pointers to help his team get the win. Johnell Davis scored 22 points, made 2 threes, and had 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, and was a +10. Wooga Poplar scored 19 points, made all 3 of his threes, and had 6 rebounds in this game.
For Norfolk Sports Club, Viktor Lakhin scored 15 points, made a three-pointer, and had 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in this game. Appalachian State’s 6-11 senior big man, CJ Huntley had 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Jahmyl Telfort had 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting, and 4 rebounds.
Game 4: Portsmouth Sports Club 81 defeats Roger Brown’s Restaurant, 81-75
For the Portsmouth Sports Club, Chance McMillan scored 22 points, made 4 threes, and had 5 rebounds and 3 assists in this game, and was a +16. Moussa Cisse scored 13 points, and had 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks. VCU’s 6-4 guard, Joe Bamisile scored 15 points, made 3 threes, and had 7 rebounds. Cameron Matthews scored 9 points on 4 of 7 shooting, made a three, had 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals, and was a +15.
For Roger Brown’s, Terrence Edwards Jr. scored 16 points, made 3 threes, and had 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Julian Reese scored 16 points and had 9 rebounds. Marshall’s 6-8 forward, Obinna Anochili scored 8 points on 3 of 4 shooting, made a three, and he also blocked 4 shots.
Game 5: Jani King defeats Mike Duman Inc., 111-79
For Jani-King, Nelly Junior Joseph scored 20 points, and had 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks, and was a +16. Utah’s 6-6 forward, Gabe Madsen scored 16 points, made 4 threes, and had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and was a +21. Saint Thomas scored 12 points on 4 of 4 shooting, dished out 7 assists, had 3 rebounds, and was a +24. Bez Mbeng had 17 points, made 3 threes, had 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and was a +15. Curtis Jones had 11 points, made 3 threes, had 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and was a +19. Steven Ashworth scored 12 points, made 4 threes, had 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and was a +20. Chris Youngblood had 14 points, made 3 threes, had 3 assists, and was a +14. Igor Milicic Jr. scored 9 points, blocked 4 shots, had 3 rebounds, and was a +31.
For Mike Duman Inc., Jaemyn Brakefield had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Samson Johnson had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals in this game.
