T.J. Gibbs
Updated as of 11/21/2020, scouting report written by Alan Lu.
2020 rankings were finalized on 11/17/20.
Height: 6-3
Weight: 185
College: Notre Dame
Classification: Senior
Birthdate: 10/9/1997
Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted
Pros:
Good shooter, especially from deep
Decent scorer off the dribble
Adequate playmaker
Solid athlete
Cons:
Can struggle to score in traffic
Can be careless on offense, which can lead to turnovers
Needs to improve his rebounding
Can tend be unfocused defensively
Summary:
T.J. Gibbs is an athletic, skilled combo guard that excels at knocking down long-range jumpers to space the floor for his team. He is a solid marksman from beyond the arc, and he can put up a barrage of points in a hurry. On the downside, he may not be an especially dynamic playmaker, and he can tend to have lapses defensively. Right now, he projects to be a borderline second round candidate for the 2020 NBA Draft.
