Summary:

R.J. Hampton is a speedy, skilled combo guard that could be a likely lottery pick in the 2020 draft. He is a tremendous scorer in transition, and he will often take the ball to the basket to garner scores. He can also run the point or play off the ball, but sometimes he can play too fast and out of control, which can lead to misses and turnovers.

He also plays solid help defense, as he can get steals and blocks, but he will need to improve his focus to be a better position defender in games.  He also will need to improve his jump shot, and he didn’t exactly post great shooting percentages nor went to the free throw line often in the NBL, and his shot selection can leave a lot to be desired.

But when he’s on his game, he looks to be an elite talent that could be near the top of his class.  Hampton is a very talented prospect that could end up being one of the best players to come out of this draft class.
