Height: 6-8
Weight: 200
College: UCLA
Classification: Freshman
Birthdate: 9/11/2002

2022 Top 100 Prospect Rank: 51
Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round
2022 NBA Draft: Round 1, Pick 30 by the Oklahoma City Thunder
(Rights traded to the Denver Nuggets)

Pros:
Adequate scorer off the dribble
Decent playmaker
Solid rebounder
Solid defender that can get blocks and steals
Very good athlete

Cons:
Really needs to improve his shooting
Prone to hoisting up questionable shots
Tendency to over-dribble, which can lead to turnovers
Can have lapses defensively
Does not get enough playing time

Summary:
Peyton Watson is an athletic, skilled point forward that came in as a highly touted recruit coming into his freshman season. He didn’t play very much this year, and he really struggled on the offensive end this year. He will really need to improve his outside shot, but his athleticism, combined with his ability to facilitate and defend makes him a second round prospect for the 2022 draft.
