2020 NBA Draft: Round 1, Pick 26 by the Boston Celtics

Pros:

Decent scorer off the dribble
Adequate shooter
Decent playmaker
Adequate rebounder for his size
Decent defender that can get steals
Above average athlete

Cons:

Inconsistent shooter
Can struggle to score in traffic
Not an especially dynamic playmaker
Can struggle to guard quicker players
Not an elite athlete
Only average size for his position

Summary:

Payton Pritchard is a tough, gritty playmaker that plays with a lot of poise and tenacity when he is out on the floor.  He can make tough shots, and he does a good job of providing a steady hand at the point to help get his team wins.

Though he doesn’t possess great physical tools and sometimes can struggle with his jump shot and position defense, Pritchard is a smart, heady point guard that may have the skills to make it as a backup point guard in the NBA.
