Today, I took the time to watch both of the combine scrimmage games that were played at the 2022 NBA Draft Combine.  Although some of the prospects pulled out of the combine scrimmage games, others stayed in to compete to try to improve upon their draft standing. Some of the prospects turned in very strong performances while others didn’t seem to stand out nearly as much. Here are my thoughts on both of the games went. Also, for those that are interested in the box scores of the two games, here is the link, courtesy of Sports Illustrated’s Jeremy Woo via Twitter.

Thoughts on the First Game Between Team Curry and Team Weaver:

Team Curry went up against Team Weaver.  It was close for a good portion of the way, but Team Curry had a strong second half to run away with the victory.  They received strong performances from numerous players, and the standout performers looked to be Trevion Williams, Iverson Molinar, Jabari Walker, and Kenneth Lofton in this game.  Here are my thoughts on how they fared, as well as other prospects that caught my eye in this contest.  Also, for those that are interested in the box score of this game, here is the link.

Trevion Williams turned in a strong showing, as he showcased versatile scoring skills, rebounded the ball really well, and he also excelled as a playmaker to help Team Curry get the win in this game. Williams showed off a satisfactory ability to knock down jumpers in this game.  He was able to make an open, spot-up three off the catch.  He also utilized a crossover move as he then pulled up to make a mid-range jumper while also getting fouled.  On the downside, he struggled to consistently knock down his jumpers, as he especially struggled to make mid-range jumpers off the catch.

He also did a decent job of scoring in the post.  He would make strong moves to get fouled in order to get free throws.  Williams also showed some handles by using a quick crossover move, and he then used a pump fake to draw a shooting foul on his defender.  On the downside, he would sometimes miss shots in traffic, especially when he wouldn’t get foul calls.  He also did a good job of scoring on hustle plays.  Williams managed to score on a roll to the rim.  He also scored on a put back dunk another time.

He also showcased good playmaking skills.  Williams is an unselfish player that passed and handled the ball well, and he possesses good court vision.  He excelled at making passes on the break, and he also threw a very long outlet pass to set up a scoring chance for a teammate in transition.  He sees the floor well, and he tended to get good touch on his passes.  Sometimes though, he would be inaccurate with his passes, and he threw a couple of them that ended up getting intercepted.

Plus, Williams did a tremendous job of rebounding the basketball.  He showed a knack for hauling in boards on both ends of the court.  He also played satisfactory defense in this game.  He was able to jump a pass to get a steal.  Williams also swatted a shot to a teammate to prevent an opponent from scoring on the break.  On one play though, he got backed down, which led him to commit a foul in the post.

In general, Trevion Williams played very well to help his team get the win, and he had a very good all-around performance to help Team Curry throughout this contest.  He especially thrived as a rebounder and facilitator when he was on the floor, and he also showed off improved shooting and ball-handling skills when he was on the court.  Williams will need to show that he can consistently score against taller, more athletic opponents on offense, but his versatility, high skill level, and good feel for the game could enable him to be a solid role player in the NBA.

Iverson Molinar had a strong showing to help Team Curry get the win.  He is a very athletic, skilled combo guard that did a terrific job of attacking the hoop to score and pass the basketball, and he generally played a very good, all-around game.

Molinar did a good job of scoring off the dribble.  He has a very good first step to the hoop, and he excelled at scoring on speedy, right-handed drives.  He also would often take on the contact, and he showed an impressive ability to score in traffic.  He also thrived as a scorer on strong drives in transition.  He also managed to split a double team to score while falling away and getting an extra free throw once.

Also, Molinar showcased solid playmaking skills.  He did a good job of throwing crisp, accurate interior passes to set up scores for his teammates, and he generally passed and handled the ball well.  On the downside, he also threw a rushed low pass that ended up getting deflected and intercepted once.

He also did a good job of rebounding the basketball.  Also, Molinar played adequate defense.  He also was able to deflect a pass to nearly get a steal.  On another play though, he got beat on a spin move after rotating on a drive, which led his teammate to commit a foul afterwards.

In summary, Iverson Molinar played very well to help his team get the win in this game.  He excelled at driving to the basket to score the basketball, and he also played very well on both ends of the floor.  He will need to improve his outside shot and show that he can reliably run the point on a consistent basis, but Molinar’s athleticism, scoring skills, and defensive potential could enable him to be a solid pick for an NBA team in the second round of the 20222 draft.

Jabari Walker also played very well to help his team get the win in this game.  He thrived as a shooter and scorer on offense, and he was very efficient as a shot maker throughout this match.  Walker shot the ball very well, especially from downtown.  He showed a knack for making open, spot-up threes off the catch, and he also banked in a three off the glass from way out.

He also would tend to score on hustle plays.  Walker would run the floor to score on fast breaks, as he was able to score on a give and go, and he threw down a dunk another time.  He also ran in to score on a tip-in.  On the downside, sometimes he would miss shots around the basket due to rushing.  He also missed after using a step-through move in the post.

He also showcased satisfactory playmaking skills.  Walker passed the ball well, and he was able to make an array of passes off the dribble to set up scoring chances for his teammates.  Plus, he also rebounded the ball very well.  Defensively, he looked to be perhaps above average.  He did a very good job of blocking shots, and he was able to swat a shot from behind to help his team protect the paint.  He also jumped a pass to get a steal.  On the downside, sometimes he would play too aggressively when defending in the paint, which would lead him to commit touch fouls.  Another time, he sagged too far off of a shooter, which led him to give up a three-point basket.

Overall, Jabari Walker had a good showing to help his team get the win.  He didn’t seem to make spectacular plays, but he played well, especially on offense.  He is an athletic, skilled combo forward that shot the ball very well, and he is currently a second round prospect that could project well into a 3 and D role in the NBA.

Kenneth Lofton had a strong showing to help Team Curry to get the victory over Team Weaver.  He is a strong, fairly athletic big man that made a lot of good plays on both ends of the floor, and he showed off impressive athleticism and range on his shot to help his team get the win.

Lofton showed off a solid outside shot in this game.  He was able to make an open, spot-up three off the catch.  He also thrived as a scorer around the basket.  Lofton used a pump fake to score on a strong move in the post while getting fouled simultaneously.  He also managed to score on a very powerful put back dunk.  He also showed a satisfactory ability to score off the dribble, and he seemed to favor going to his left to do so.

Also, Lofton showcased fairly average playmaking skills.  He showed that he can pass and handle the basketball, and he was able to make a drop-off pass off the dribble to set up a scoring chance for a teammate.  On another play though, he threw an inaccurate pass that went out of bounds, as that may have been due to miscommunication.

He also was able to haul in boards on both ends of the floor to chip in on the glass.  Lofton also played solid defense in this game.  He would frequently jump passes to get steals, and he also poked a ball away to nearly get another.  He also emphatically blocked a shot off of a drive.  He also rotated to contest a three to force a miss.  On the downside, sometimes he would play too aggressively when defending his man, which would lead him to commit touch fouls.

Overall, Kenneth Lofton played very well throughout this contest.  He showed a wide array of skills, and he was able to make one impressive play after another to help his team get the win.  He has been playing very well this week, and he is an underrated prospect that could project to be a solid role player in the NBA.

Orlando Robinson also played very well in this game.  He showed off versatile scoring skills, and he did a good job of making plays on both ends of the floor. Robinson shot the ball well, and he was able to make shots from all over the floor.  He was able to make a corner three to showcase his range.  Plus, he also managed to draw free throws on a fadeaway, mid-range jumper.  Robinson also generally excelled at scoring on hustle plays.  He ran the floor to score on a fast break.  He also drew free throws on a roll to the rim.  Plus, he also would go hard to the hoop to draw free throws when looking to score off the dribble or in the post.   He didn’t take many shots in this game, but he was selective with them, and he did a very good job of making them.

Also, he passed the ball very well in this game.  He showed a knack for getting the ball to his teammates in transition, and he was able to throw good outlet passes and lobs to set up scoring chances for them.  He also was able to haul in boards on both ends of the floor to chip in on the glass.  Robinson also played adequate defense in this game.  He would rotate to block shots to help his team protect the paint.  Sometimes though, he would be late on his rotations, or play too aggressively, which would lead him to be out of position and cause him to commit fouls and allow scores.

Overall, Orlando Robinson turned in a strong showing, and he had a solid, all-around performance to help his team on both ends of the court.  He is an athletic, skilled big man whose scoring skills and versatility could make him a solid pick for an NBA team in the late first to the second round range of the 2022 draft.

Kofi Cockburn had a fairly solid showing, as he notched a double-double in Team Weaver’s loss to Team Curry in this game.  He especially thrived as a rebounder in this contest. Cockburn showed a satisfactory ability to score in the post.  He would make strong moves down low, as it enabled him to score on a powerful dunk, and he would tend to draw fouls, which would help him get to the free throw line.  Plus, he also managed to make an open, mid-range jumper to showcase his emerging shooting skills.

He also was quite active at looking to score on hustle plays.  He was able to score off of offensive rebounds, as well as on a roll to the rim.  Sometimes though, he would rush his moves, which would lead him to miss shots in traffic, and he also had his shots blocked several times.

Also, Cockburn was able to pass out of the post to notch an assist.  Cockburn also did a tremendous job of rebounding the basketball.  He didn’t seem to be very noticeable defensively, but on one play, he got crossed up, and he ended up allowing his opponent to score on a mid-range basket.

Overall, Cockburn played fairly well, and he especially thrived as a rebounder in this game.  He will need to show that he can match up to more athletic opponents, and he will need to defend better and show a more reliable jump shot.  Currently, he projects to be a borderline second round candidate for the upcoming draft.

Terquavion Smith made a lot of noise in this game, and his ability to score, rack up points, and play energetically may have likely helped boost his draft stock due to his performance in this contest.  He played fairly well overall, even though the box score suggested that he wasn’t nearly as efficient in making shots as the draft buzz he generated from today’s game suggested. Well actually, Smith was fairly streaky with his jump shot in this game, as he scored 17 points on 17 shots, but he is a shoot-first combo guard that showed that he was quite comfortable in taking and making shots from long distances, and he also showed some playmaking and defensive skills along the way.

Smith showed off a decent ability to knock down jumpers.  He would often take shots from the outside, and Smith showed off a good shooting stroke from beyond the arc.  He was able to make threes both off the catch and dribble, and he also made a pull-up three from way out early on.  He also was able to make a mid-range floater.  On the downside, he was quite streaky with his jump shot, and he didn’t always look to try to get his teammates involved on offense.

He also was able to score on a strong, left-handed drive to the hoop.  Smith didn’t always get all the way to the hoop, but he showed solid foot speed and quickness to get to the basket to score that time.  Also, Smith showed off adequate playmaking skills.  He did a good job of throwing long, interior passes to find teammates on the move.  He also made a drive and kick pass to find a shooter to notch an assist.  Sometimes though, Smith would try to do too much on offense, and on one play, he had a ball poked away when handling it up the court to turn the ball over.

Also, Smith did a very good job of rebounding the basketball.  He would tend to haul in boards on both ends of the floor, and sometimes he would bring the ball quickly up off of defensive boards.  He also played satisfactory defense.  He is a tenacious defender that plays with great energy and will apply considerable ball pressure.  He also was able to alter a mid-range shot to force a miss.  He also jumped on a loose ball that was deflected to help his team get a steal.

Overall, Terquavion Smith is an athletic, skilled combo guard that showed off a variety of skills that has helped him get significantly more draft buzz after today’s basketball game.  He’s a skilled scorer that can knock down shots from downtown, and he is a fleet-footed guard that can quickly get to his spots on the floor.  On the downside, he will need to improve his shot selection, and he can sometimes be prone to rushing on offense.  He will need to show that he can reliably run the point on a consistent basis, but his athleticism and ability to make shots could enable him to end up being a second round pick if he decides to stay in the 2022 draft.

John Butler had a fairly solid showing to help Team Weaver in this game.  He showed off solid outside shooting skills, and he also thrived as a shot blocker and defender.  Butler showed a knack for making spot-up threes off the catch.  He didn’t take nearly as many shots as his teammates, but he was effective at making threes to space the floor for his team.  On the downside, he wasn’t able to make a two-point field goal, and missed on an open, pull-up, mid-range jumper another time.  He didn’t look to create shots for himself or others off the dribble very often.  Sometimes though, he would throw hasty passes, as he threw one that ended up getting intercepted.

Also, Butler was able to haul boards on both ends of the floor to chip in on the glass.   On the downside, there was one play where he didn’t properly box out his man, and he got overpowered and allowed a tip-in score.  He also played very good defense in this game.  Butler showed off tremendous shot blocking skills, as he was able to swat a couple of shots from the mid-range and on a put back to get stops for his team.  He has very good length, timing, and instincts, and he also rotates quickly to put himself in position to contest shots.  He also would get his hands on passes to get steals, and he thrived at challenging shots both out on the perimeter and in the paint to force misses.

Overall, John Butler had some really good moments in this game, and he is a tall, athletic forward that especially thrived as a shot blocker and defender.  He also showed off some outside shooting skills.  On the other hand, he will need to add a lot more muscle and strength to his frame, as that will enable him to hold position better and finish in traffic more.  Currently, he is a second round prospect, and he has a unique blend of size, skills, and athleticism that could enable him to project to be a solid role player in the NBA.

Thoughts on the Second Game Between Team Erman and Team Johnson:

I also took the time to watch the second game that took place between Team Erman and Team Johnson.  It was a very competitive, low scoring affair, and it was a hard-fought defensive battle that went all the way down to the wire.  Ultimately, Dereon Seabron was able to score to give Team Erman the go-ahead basket to get the win over Team Johnson.  The top performers of this game looked to be Dereon Seabron, Aminu Mohammed, Drew Timme, and Jalen Williams.  Here are my thoughts on how they fared, as well as others that seemed to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

Dereon Seabron had a superb showing to help lead Team Erman to a win over Team Johnson.  He is an athletic, skilled point forward that had a strong all-around game, he thrived at taking the ball to the rim to score the basketball, and he also made the go-ahead basket to help his team get the victory.

Seabron showed a solid ability to score off the dribble.  He has a very good first step and has solid functional strength, and he was able to score on quick, strong left-handed drives to the hoop.  He also drove quickly to score on a high-flying dunk.  He also would often take on the contact to frequently get to the free throw line.  Sometimes though, he would miss shots when he wouldn’t get foul calls.

He also thrived at scoring on hustle plays.  Seabron excelled at scoring on fast breaks and put backs.  He was able to catch a lob on the break to score to make the game-winning field goal for his team.  Also, he showed off fairly average playmaking skills.  Seabron is an unselfish player that will make the extra pass to find the open man.  Sometimes though, he would throw inaccurate passes, and he would sometimes throw passes when his teammates wouldn’t be ready, which would lead him to commit turnovers.

Also, he did a decent job of rebounding the basketball.  Seabron was able to haul in multiple boards on both ends of the floor.  He also played solid defense.  He would get his hands on passes and poke balls away to get steals.  He also contested a three to force a miss.

Overall, Dereon Seabrown played very well, and he thrived at making plays on both ends of the floor to help his team get the victory.  He will need to improve his jump shot in the meantime, but he thrived as a scorer and defender, and he also showed off very good athleticism in this game.  He is an underrated prospect, and he could be a good find for an NBA team on draft day.

Aminu Mohammed played very well for Team Johnson in this game.  He is a very athletic, energetic swingman that showed off versatile scoring skills, and he quietly turned in a good all-around performance to help his team on both ends of the floor.

Mohammed was able to make an open corner three to showcase an improved outside shot.  He also showed a satisfactory ability to score off the dribble.  He would go hard to the hoop to score and get free throws, and he also managed to throw down a dunk off of a drive in transition early on.  On the downside, he would sometimes try to do too much, which would sometimes lead to wild misses around the basket.

He also showed off decent playmaking skills.  He is an unselfish player that would swing the ball to shooters to notch assists.  On the downside, he had some trouble handling the ball when pressured, which would lead him to commit ball-handling turnovers.  He was called for a charging foul after colliding into an opponent hen handling the ball on a break.  He also had a ball poked away from him to commit another turnover.

He also did a good job of rebounding the basketball.  Mohammed also defended well.  He would poke balls away to get steals and deflections, and he also blocked a shot in this game.  Overall, Aminu Mohhamed had a strong showing in this game, and he played well in virtually all facets of the game.  He will still need to show that he can be a reliable outside shooter on a consistent basis, but his athleticism, scoring skills, and defensive potential could enable him to project to be an effective rotation player in the NBA.

Drew Timme also played very well in this game.  He did a good job of shooting and scoring the basketball.  He made a spot-up three early on to showcase his range.  He also showed good strength, footwork, and shooting touch to score in the post, and Timme showed that he can make jump hooks using either hand.  He also did a good job of scoring off the dribble.  He used a spin move to score early on.  He also drove hard to the hoop to score on an emphatic dunk.

He also showcased adequate playmaking skills.  He is an unselfish player that would pass out of the post to set up scores for his teammates.  He also did a decent job of rebounding the basketball.  Timme didn’t seem to be too noticeable defensively, but he was able to contest a three to force a miss.

Overall, Drew Timme excelled as an offensive player in this game.  He showed that he can score against athletic opponents, and he is a smart, savvy basketball player that just finds ways to score the basketball.  He currently projects to be a second round prospect, but his ability to make shots and plays could enable him to be a solid role player in the NBA.

Jalen Williams had a solid showing in this game.  He tested very well in the measurements and athletic testing, and he went on to play a solid basketball game, as he especially thrived in the second half.  He is an athletic point forward that showed off versatile scoring skills.  He made an open, spot-up three to showcase some of his shooting skills.  He also thrived at scoring on hustle plays, and he was able to throw down a couple of dunks, which included a powerful jam that he threw down off of a roll to the rim.  Jalen Williams also managed to use a spin move to score out of the post.  He didn’t seem to make shots spectacularly, but he played smart, sound, efficient basketball.

Williams also displayed fairly average playmaking skills.  He would make the extra pass to keep it moving.  However, he had some trouble handling the ball when facing significant ball pressure.  On the downside, he had a ball poked away off of a drive to turn the ball over.  Another time, he lost the ball when handling the ball in the post amidst a crowd as he fell, and it led him to commit a shot clock violation.

Also, Williams was able to haul in multiple boards on both ends of the floor to help his team on the glass.  He also played satisfactory defense.  He was able to jump on a loose ball to help his team get a steal.  He also actively got in the passing lane, as he used his length and anticipation skills to help force a passing turnover.  On the downside, he got outmuscled when defending in the high post to allow a score once.

Overall, Jalen Williams played well, and he did a good job of making shots efficiently in this game.  He didn’t dominate the match, but he played well by scoring efficiently and by being active defensively to help his team on the court.  There are rumors suggesting that he could move up as high as the lottery, but that could be too high for him right now, especially considering he struggled the year before, and had played most of the season in relative obscurity, so he’s still relatively untested against top competition.  He’ll need to show that he can consistently play well with less touches in a supporting role, but this game was a step in the right direction.  He is an athletic swingman that could project into a 3 and D role, and he could end up being a likely pick in the late first to the early second round range in the 2022 draft.

Christian Braun had a fairly solid showing in this game.  He played well in the first half, as he scored the ball quite a bit in the first half for Team Johnson.  He struggled to make shots later on, but he excelled in the non-shooting or scoring related elements of this match.

Braun played solid defense in this game.  He did a great job of intercepting passes to get steals.  On the downside, when defending in the post once, he got beat on a spin move to give up the basket.  Braun also rebounded the ball well.  He was able to haul in multiple boards on both sides of the ball, and he would sometimes push the ball up the court off of defensive rebounds.

He also showed off solid playmaking skills.  Braun passed the ball well, and he would throw good passes off the dribble to set up numerous scoring chances for his teammates.

He also made an open corner three to show some of his shooting skills.  Braun also managed to use a pump fake to score on a patient, left-handed drive to the hoop.  He also ran off of a curl cut and used a ball fake to score on a turnaround, mid-range jumper.  On the downside, he struggled to consistently score on drives in transition, and he would sometimes get his shots blocked by his defenders.

Overall, Braun struggled to make shots consistently, as he especially struggled to score consistently off the dribble or in traffic, but he made solid team plays over the course of the game.  He showed enough in both halves that make him an interesting prospect.  He will need to continue to improve his jump shot, but his skills, versatility, and compete level could make him a good pick for an NBA team in the second round of the 2022 draft.

Ron Harper Jr. also had a solid showing to help Team Erman get the win.  He showed off versatile scoring skills, and he was able to make some solid plays on both ends of the court.  He thrived at making hustle plays.  Harper would tend to score on fast breaks.  He also used a hop step to score on a dunk off of a backdoor cut.  While he did make a spot-up three, he struggled to consistently knock down threes, and he especially struggled to make shots off the dribble in the half court in this game.

Also, Harper showcased solid playmaking skills.  He is an unselfish player that would throw timely passes to find the open man to rack up assists.  On one play though, he had a ball ripped away from him when handling it to commit a turnover.

Harper was able to haul in boards on both ends of the floor to chip in on the glass.  He also played very good defense.  Harper was able to jump on a loose ball to help his team get a steal.  He also successfully drew a charge to stop the opposing team on the break due to good positioning.

Overall, Ron Harper Jr. did a fairly good job of making plays in this game, and he was able to do a little bit of everything to help his team get the victory.  He did struggle with his three-point shot in this game, but he has shot the three-ball very well on the season.  He may not be an especially dynamic offensive player, as he may not have the quickness or ball-handling skills to be a consistent scorer off the dribble at higher levels, but Harper is a skilled, fundamentally sound basketball player that could be a good find for an NBA team in the draft, and he could end up being a solid role player in the NBA.

Alondes Williams had a fairly solid showing to help Team Erman get the win in this game.  He passed the ball very well, and he did a great job of throwing interior passes to find open teammates on the move to rack up assists.  He can throw long, accurate passes, and he sees the floor well.

He also was able to help get a few rebounds, and he also defended well.  Williams would get his hands on passes to get steals and deflections.  He also contested a three to force a miss.  On the downside, he also was called for a reach-in foul when trying to intercept a pass another time.

He struggled a little more to make shots.  He was able to score on an emphatic dunk off of a backdoor cut.  He also was able to knock down a couple of outside shots, as he made a pull-up, mid-range jumper, and he also made a movement three.  However, Alondes Williams struggled to make threes consistently, and he also had a couple of his shots blocked when driving to the hoop in transition.

Overall, Alondes Williams played fairly well, even though he struggled to make shots consistently.  He passed the ball really well, and I was impressed by his ability to pass the basketball.  He is a player that can play a variety of positions, and he also seems like he could also run the point.  He could be an intriguing prospect for NBA teams to consider in the second round.  He will need to improve his jump shot, but even so, his skill set and feel for the game could enable him to make his way to the NBA next season.

Jared Rhoden had a decent showing to help Team Erman get the win in this game.  He showed some scoring skills in the first half.  He struggled with his jump shot as the game wore on, but he made solid team plays, and he excelled as a rebounder and defender to help his team get the victory.

Rhoden did a satisfactory job of scoring off the dribble.  He was able to score on a strong baseline drive while drawing an extra free throw afterwards.  He also thrived at scoring on fast breaks.  He also would tend to draw free throws when would get the ball on off-ball motion plays, or when he would have the ball around the basket.  However, he struggled to consistently knock down his jump shots, as he was unable to make threes or mid-range jumpers on a consistent basis.

He also struggled as a playmaker in this game.  Rhoden did not pick up any assists.  He also was sometimes careless with the basketball.  He had trouble handling the ball when pressured, which would lead him to commit ball-handling turnovers.  He also threw a pass that got intercepted.

He also rebounded and defended well.  Rhoden showed a knack for getting steals and blocks to help his team on defense.  He would block shots off of drives to help his team protect the paint.  He also intercepted a pass and poked a ball away to get steals.  He played solid defense, and played with great energy.  On one play though, he got beat off the dribble to allow a score.

Overall, Jared Rhoden didn’t seem to have a great game statistically, but he did a lot of little things well, and he thrived at drawing and making free throws, and he also rebounded and defended well.  He will need to be a more consistent shooter in games, but he is a defensive-minded, hustle player that could project into a 3 and D role similar to Miami Heat forward, Caleb Martin in the NBA.

After watching both of the games, there were plenty of standout performances amongst players that participated in the combine scrimmages today.  There are still two more games that will be played tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see which players will play well in those games.  Without further ado, here are my picks for the 3 stars on Day 1 of the 2022 NBA Draft Combine scrimmage games.

The 3 Stars on Day 1 of the 2022 NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage Games:

  1. Dereon Seabron, Team Erman
  2. Trevion Williams, Team Curry
  3. Iverson Molinar, Team Curry

It was a tough decision to decide on whether or not if Seabron or Trevion Williams had the best performance of the day.  Williams had 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists in a blow win over Team Weaver, although he did need 13 shots to get to that point total.  Still, his playmaking skills were extremely impressive, and he showed a knack for making very good plays, especially down the stretch in the first game.

Dereon Seabron also turned in a dominant showing, and he showed a tremendous ability to score the basketball and make hustle plays.  He scored 17 points on just 8 shots, he showed a tremendous proficiency to get to the free throw line, and he also made a lot of hustle plays defensively.  Plus, he also scored the game-winning field goal, as he was able to make a clutch basket towards the game’s end.  Therefore, I decided to pick Seabron as the top performer in both of the games that were played today.

There were a lot of solid performances for the third spot, but Iverson Molinar’s very efficient scoring, superb ability to get to the rim to score, combined with that he rebounded and passed the ball very well and showing very good athleticism were enough for me to pick him over the others for the third spot on the three stars list.

It was interesting to see how the first batch of games would turn out, and there were some real standout performances today.  The NBA playoffs are going on, and so far, the Eastern Conference Finals is tied up at 1 apiece between Boston and Miami, and Golden State has a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals over Dallas so far.  It will be interesting to see which of the teams will win their series to make it to the 2022 NBA Finals.  Thanks for reading.
