Pros:

Fairly good low post scorer
Solid scorer off the dribble
Excels at scoring on off-ball motion plays
Adequate playmaker
Good rebounder
Has good defensive potential
Solid shot blocker
Very good athlete

Cons:

Needs to improve his outside shot
Needs to improve his free throw shooting
Prone to taking questionable shots
Can tend to force the issue too much on offense
Tendency to over-dribble, which may lead to turnovers
Can be a bit of a ball stopper
Tends to be unfocused defensively
His effort on the defensive end can be lagging at times

Summary:

Jonathan Kuminga is a very athletic, skilled forward that can score the basketball in a variety of ways. He can take the ball aggressively to the rim, and he also can pull up to knock down jumpers, and he is a good post-up player. His ability to score and defend, combined with his ability to make high-impact plays makes him a very good prospect for the upcoming draft.

However, he has a tendency to take tough, contested shots that can hurt his shooting percentages, and he also can sometimes be a bit of a ball stopper on offense. Even more concerning, there are games where he appears to be a disinterested defender where he gives very little effort on that end. Still, Kuminga is a high upside prospect that has the potential to excel on both ends of the floor in the NBA, and he projects to be a likely top 5 pick in 2021.
