Updated as of 6/5/2020, scouting report written by Alan Lu.

Height: 6-4
Weight: 170
Country: Germany
Professional Team: ALBA Berlin
Classification: International ’00
Birthdate: 1/16/2000

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:

Decent shooter, especially from deep
Decent playmaker
Adept at collecting steals
Played in some of the toughest professional leagues

Cons:

Struggles to create his own shot
Shooting percentages tapered off drastically in Euroleague play
Can be too passive on offense
Needs to improve his rebounding
Can be foul prone
Only an average athlete
Limited game action at the highest levels of pro ball

Summary:

Jonas Mattisseck is a skilled combo guard that can shoot and pass the basketball.  He had played well in his role in the Euroleague early on, and Mattisseck has shown some solid offensive skills in a veteran heavy league that is considered to be arguably the toughest in international basketball.

He got off to a good start this season, but he struggled to make shots consistently in Euroleague later this season. Right now, he will need to continue to hone his game overseas, but he could potentially be a second round prospect in 2021.
