Summary:
Jimma Gatwech is a very athletic combo guard that may have considerable potential as a prospect for the NBA.  While he struggled to do any one thing consistently in games, Gatwech showed that he can do a little bit of everything.  At times, he looked to be very impressive on both ends of the floor, as he showed off versatile scoring skills, deft ball-handling prowess, top-notch athleticism, and some defensive skills in this tournament.

On the other hand, he will need to improve his shot selection and decision-making skills, and with the TBPC being the only known basketball games he’s played this season, he may still be far from ready right now, as the jump to the NBA could be a sizable leap for him. This season, Gatwech played in one NBA G-League preseason game for Sioux Falls Skyforce prior to getting waived. He will need to find playing time somewhere, and if he can, he could find a way to carve out a solid playing career in professional basketball.
