Summary:
Javonte Perkins is an athletic, skilled swingman that can shoot and score the basketball.  He had a terrific 2020-21 season, and he was able to score 32 points and make four threes in his team’s early season win over LSU.

Last year, he returned for a fifth season, and big things were expected from him. Unfortunately, he tore an ACL prior to the start of the 2021-22 season, and he missed the entire season with a knee injury. He returned to play the 2022-23 season for Saint Louis. He’s struggled at times to regain the consistency that he showed prior to the knee injury, but Perkins still has shown that he can comfortably shoot, score, and defend when he’s on the floor,, and he could project into a 3 and D type of role in the NBA.
