Summary:

J.D. Davison is a very athletic, skilled playmaker that can make plenty of highlight-reel worthy plays on both ends of the floor.  He is a gifted scorer off the dribble, and he has a knack for scoring on fast breaks.  He also can throw down mesmerizing dunks, and he also can roam in to make a high-flying block defensively.  He also has a decent mid-range jump shot that can keep defenses honest, and he can reliably run the point.

On the other hand, he still needs to improve his jump shot, particularly from behind the three-point line, and his free throw shooting still needs work.  He also can tend to be too passive on offense, and he doesn’t look for his own shot enough in games.  Davison is a very talented player, and his playmaking skills, combined with having considerable upside could make him a very good pick for an NBA team in the second round of the 2022 draft.
