Summary:
Eric Gaines is a very athletic, energetic combo guard that previously played at LSU prior to transferring to UAB. He is a high-flyer that can throw down some impressive dunks, and he is a solid facilitator that can reliably run the point. He also played well at the 2024 Portsmouth Invitational, as he showed off strong playmaking skills at that event.
He will need to significantly improve his jump shot, but his vast athleticism, combined with his playmaking skills and defensive potential makes him a second round prospect for the 2024 draft.
