Height: 6-1

College: Michigan
Classification: Fifth-Year Senior

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:

Solid shooter
Decent scorer off the dribble
Excels at scoring on off-ball motion plays
Terrific free throw shooter
Handles the ball fairly well
Adequate rebounder for his size
Above average athlete

Cons:

Lacks an elite first step off the dribble
Not an elite ball handler
Can be too scoring focused on offense
Struggles to defend quicker players
Not an elite athlete
Not a true point guard, but is undersized to play the two
Old for a draft prospect, may have limited upside

Summary:

Eli Brooks is an agile, skilled combo guard that can shoot and score the basketball.  He is having a good senior season, and he has helped lead his team to get wins over Colorado State and Tennessee in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.  His ability to knock down shots could enable him to make his way to the NBA someday.
