Summary:
Devon Dotson is an athletic, skilled playmaker that will attack the basket to garner scores, and he is also a good defensive player. He was able to show improved decision making skills at the point this year, but he struggled to consistently make long-range jumpers this season.
Dotson is a gifted scorer that can effectively run a team at the point, but his inconsistent shooting and relatively low assist totals for a player his size throughout his career could be sources of concerns. Still, Dotson’s ability to score combined with having strong athletic gifts could enable him to be a first round pick in the 2020 draft.
