Summary:

DeVante’ Jones is a strong, physical point guard that had a very good season at Coastal Carolina this year.  He averaged around 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals per game this past season, and he also made 37% of his threes.

He is an aggressive scorer that can make shots in a variety of ways, and he is also adept at drawing fouls upon his defenders.  Sometimes though, he can try to force the issue too much, which can lead to misses and turnovers.  He also hasn’t often faced top-notch competition in college basketball, which could be another concern.  He played well at the G-League Elite Camp, and he currently projects to be a second round prospect in the 2022 draft.
