Adequate playmaker for his size
Solid rebounder
Decent defender
Gifted shot blocker
Above average athlete

Cons:

Inconsistent shooter
Needs to improve his face-up game
Must expand upon his low post moves
Can display spotty shot selection
Struggles to guard more athletic opponents
Needs to add strength
Not an elite athlete

Summary:

Connor Vanover is a very tall, energetic big man that can knock down jumpers, he also can block a lot of shots to help his team protect the paint. He previously played at California and Arkansas prior to transferring to Oral Roberts, and he had a solid season this year. He’ll need to add more muscle to his frame and will need to show that he can consistently play well against upper-echelon opponents, especially in faster-paced games, but Vanover is a mobile, high-motor player that could project into a backup center role in the NBA.
