Cole Anthony is an athletic, skilled playmaker that could be a lottery pick in the 2020 draft. He is a player that score the basketball in a variety of ways, and he was the MVP of the 2019 McDonald’s All-American game.
So far this season, Anthony has had his ups and downs throughout his freshman season. In the season opener, he scored 34 points in a win over Notre Dame as he started off strong, but Anthony has struggled to consistently make shots, or to rack up assists. He also has been prone to having lapses defensively, though he played terrific defense in the 2019 McDonald’s All-American game.
Right now, Anthony will need to consistently play well, especially against tough competition, but even so, he projects to go in the lottery, as NBA teams may be enamored with his upside and star potential as a prospect for the 2020 draft.
