Breein Tyree

Updated as of 11/21/2020. Scouting report written by Alan Lu.
2020 rankings were finalized on 11/17/20.

Height: 6-2
Weight: 195
College: Mississippi
Classification: Senior
Birthdate: 1/13/1998

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:

Fairly good shooter, especially from deep
Decent scorer off the dribble
Moves fairly well off the ball on offense
Adequate rebounder for his size
Above average athlete

Cons:

Can struggle to score in traffic
Needs to improve his passing ability
Needs to improve his defense
Not a true point guard, but is undersized to play the two
Not an elite athlete
Lacks ideal size for his position

Summary:

Breein Tyree is an agile, skilled combo guard that can shoot and score the basketball.  He has a solid pull-up game that enables him to make three-point shots and mid-range jumpers effectively.  On the other hand, he will need to improve his playmaking skills, as he has never averaged 3 assists or more per game in any collegiate season, and he will need to show teams that he can reliably run the point at higher levels.  Right now, he projects to be a borderline second round candidate for the 2020 NBA Draft.
