Summary:

Alen Smailagic is an 18-year old big man from Serbia that was drafted in the first round of the G-League draft by South Bay, and then had his rights promptly dealt to Santa Cruz.

He is an intriguing prospect who will likely be watched closely by NBA scouts and teams, and he had a fairly solid season this year in the G-League.  He is an energetic player that could project into a defensive specialist role at the next level, but he will still need to improve in the finer points of the game.  Right now, he is currently a second round prospect for the 2019 draft.
