A Summary of the Third and Fourth 2024 NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage Games, and Our Picks for the 2024 All-NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage Teams

With the 2024 NBA Draft Combine pretty much wrapped up, here is what happened in the last day of the combine scrimmage games, and we will also list our all-NBA Draft Combine teams for this year.

In the last day of the scrimmage games this year, some of the performers continued to play well while others emerged to play well on this day. Here is a basic summary of how they fared in the third and fourth games of the 2024 NBA Draft Combine.

Game 3: Team Forehan-Kelly defeats Team Herscu, 91-80

For the winning team, Coleman Hawkins scored 17 points on 6 of 7 shooting, made 3 threes, and he had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and was a +27 in this game. Nikola Djurisic scored 16 points, made 2 threes, and had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and was a +29, and NBA scouts raved about his passing skills and feel for the game in this event. Jamir Watkins scored 12 points, made 2 threes, and had 4 assists and 4 rebounds.

For Team Herscu, Michael Ajayi scored 14 points on 5 of 7 shooting, made 2 threes, had 7 rebounds, and was a +6 in this game. Jalen Bridges scored 10 points, made 2 threes, and had 4 rebounds in this game.

Game 4: Team St. Andrews defeats Team Love, 90-83

For the winning team, JT Toppin scored 10 points, made both of his threes, and had 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. Adem Bona scored 10 points on 3 of 3 shooting, and had 8 rebounds and 1 block. Alex Karaban scored 12 points on 4 of 5 shooting, made his lone three-point attempt, and he had 3 rebounds. Bronny James scored 13 points, made 2 threes, and had 2 assists and 1 rebound in this game.

Baylor Scheierman scored 9 points and had 3 assists, but he did not make a three-pointer and had just one rebound. AJ Johnson dished out 6 assists, but scored just 4 points on 2 of 7 shooting in this game. Dillon Jones dished out 6 assists and had 4 rebounds, but scored just 3 points on 0 of 4 shooting in this game.

For Team Love, Enrique Freeman scored 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting, made both of his threes, and he had 3 steals and 1 block. Jamal Shead scored 13 points, made both of his threes, and had 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. Oso Ighodaro scored 11 points on 4 of 4 shooting, and he had 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Harrison Ingram had 6 rebounds and dished out 6 assists, but he scored just 5 points on 2 of 9 shooting.

Without further ado, here are our picks for the All-2024 NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage Teams.

Our Picks for the All-2024 NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage 1st Team:

F JT Toppin, Team St. Andrews
F Michael Ajayi, Team Herscu
F Enrique Freeman, Team Love (Our Pick for MVP)
F Nikola Djurisic, Team Forehan-Kelly
G AJ Johnson, Team St. Andrews

Enrique Freeman really excelled at this event, and he did a terrific job of shooting and scoring the basketball. He averaged 14.5 points per game, made 75% from the field, and he made 80% of his three-pointers as he was 4 of 5 on threes in both of the combine scrimmage games. He also did a great job of collecting steals on the court, and he’s shown that he can definitely handle the jump in competition.

Nikola Djurisic played well at this event, and he averaged 10 points per game, made 56% from the field and 2 of his 4 three-pointers, and scouts were dazzled by his passing and playmaking skills, as he seemed to show much more than the 1.5 assists per game that he put forth in the two combine scrimmage games. He also led all players with a combined +33 in the two games he played here.

JT Toppin definitely made an impact as the athletic big man showed off strong shooting skills and motor to help his team win both games at this event. He averaged 10.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, made 53% from the field, and he made 3 of his 4 three-pointers in the two combine scrimmage games.

Michael Ajayi averaged 11.5 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal per game, and he made 53% from the field and 38% of his three-pointers in the two combine scrimmage games here. He especially played well on the final day of the combine scrimmage games, and he was a stat stuffer at this event overall.

AJ Johnson played well in both games, and he is a very athletic, 6-5 guard that showed off versatility as well as a smooth ability to run the point. He averaged 8.5 points and 5.0 assists per game, he made 50% from the field and was 1 for 2 on his three-pointers, and he helped his team win both games here at this event. He also posted a tremendous 10-to-1 Assist-to-Turover ratio, as he showed a commanding presence at the point. Plus, he showed off a very good ability to score as a downhill driver in the first game.

Our Picks for the All-2024 NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage 2nd Team:

Baylor Scheierman averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in the two combine scrimmage games, and he also made 56% from the field. He made 33% of his three-pointers, but he generally showed off solid all-around skills and advanced decision making on the court.

Isaac Jones has continued to play very well in the pre-draft tournaments, and he averaged 10.5 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while making 63% from the field and 92% of his free throws in the two combine scrimmage games out here. He did a terrific job of scoring from the post and on hustle plays, and he made a living at the free throw line.

Coleman Hawkins also played very well at this event, especially on the last day of the combine scrimmage games. He averaged 12 points and 2 assists per game while making 75% from the field and 57% of his threes in the two combine scrimmage games, and Hawkins was a hallmark of efficiency and sound decision making on offense when he was out here.

Jamal Shead averaged 13.5 points and 5.0 assists per game, and while he didn’t quite make 40% from the field in the two games combined, he made 38% of his threes, 89% of his free throws, and posted a 2.5-to-1 Assist-to-Turnover ratio in the two combine scrimmage games.

Jalen Bridges played very well in both games, and he averaged 10.5 points per game while making 47% from the field and 44% of his threes in the two combine scrimmage games here. He shot the ball very well, and he also played solid defense to help his team at this event.

Our Picks for the All-2024 NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage 3rd Team:

Harrison Ingram was tremendous in the first game he played, and he showed off his all-around skills here. He averaged 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game in the two combine scrimmage games.

Dillon Jones averaged 6.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1 steal per game, and while he didn’t shoot well at this event, the 6-5 guard had a 3-to-1 Assist-to-Turnover ratio in the two combine scrimmage games.

Oso Ighodaro averaged 9.5 points and 3.5 assists per game while making 100% from the field in the two combine scrimmage games. He was an incredibly efficient inside scorer that also lived at the free throw line, and he did a very good job of passing the basketball. However, he didn’t shoot the ball very much and he didn’t grab many rebounds at this event.

Adem Bona averaged 8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, and he made 60% from the field in the two combine scrimmage games that he played here. He also helped Team St. Andrews win both games here.

Justin Edwards averaged 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1 steal per game, he made 47% from the field, and he posted a 1.67 Assist-to-Turnover ratio in the two combine scrimmage games. He played very well in the first game that he played in, and while he cooled off in the second game he played, he was solid at this event overall.
