2024 rankings were finalized on 6/25/24.

Height: 6-6
Weight: 190
Country: Australia
Professional Team: Cairns
College: California Baptist
Classification: Non-College Draft Prospect
Birthdate: 1/15/2002

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:

Decent scorer off the dribble
Good playmaker
Good rebounder for his size
Adequate defender
Above average athlete
Versatile guard that can play either backcourt position

Cons:

Needs to improve his shooting
Lacks an elite first step off the dribble
Can over-dribble into traffic, can be turnover prone
Can be undisciplined defensively
Not an elite athlete

Summary:

He is a tall, pass-first point guard from Australia that has strong playmaking skills.  He’s a steady playmaker that can rack up assists, and he consistently competes on both ends of the floor. Armstrong is a skilled, crafty player that can score and get assists, but he will really need to improve his jump shot. Currently, he projects to be a second round prospect for the 2024 draft.
