2021 Top 100 Prospect Rank: 26
Projected Draft Range: Late 1st to 2nd Round
2021 NBA Draft: Round 2, Pick 48 by the Atlanta Hawks

Pros:

Solid scorer off the dribble
Tremendous free throw generator
Fairly good playmaker
Good rebounder for his size
Adequate defender
Good athlete

Cons:

Needs to improve his outside shot
Can play too wildly on offense
Can be careless on offense, which can lead to turnovers
Struggles to guard taller players
Undersized for his position

Summary:

Sharife Cooper is a speedy, skilled playmaker that can score and pass the basketball.  He can quickly get into the lane, and he can score in a variety of ways.  However, he will need to improve his outside shot, and he can sometimes play too recklessly that may lead to missed shots and turnovers.

He had a stellar season debut on January 9th, as he scored 26 points and had 9 assists in his team’s loss to Alabama. Cooper had a good freshman season. His ability to score and make plays on offense could enable him to go in the late first round in the 2021 draft.
