May be a bit undersized to play the point
May not be outstanding in any one area
Summary:
Nate Mason is an athletic, skilled point guard that can make threes, score off the dribble, and he has steadily shown improved facilitation skills over time.
He is in a deep point guard crop so his draft stock has not been very high. His team had been playing very well early on, but the Golden Gophers soon tumbled as they lost Amir Coffey to a season ending injury, and Reggie Lynch ended up getting suspended from the team.
Still, Mason will have a showcase to show his skills in front of NBA scouts and teams as he was invited to play in Portsmouth recently, and a strong showing there could perhaps enable him to sneak into the second round on draft day,
