Matisse Thybulle is a very athletic swingman that could project into a defensive specialist role in the NBA. He is a terrific athlete that can get the bulk of his scores off of hustle plays, such as cuts, in transition, and off of scramble situations.
Thybulle’s athleticism and motor also enables him to excel defensively, as he can often accumulate steals and blocks, as he can force turnovers, and quickly turn them into points for his team.
But sometimes, Thybulle can be streaky as a shooter, even though he shoots a solid percentage from beyond the arc, he can be prone to some bad misses in games. He can also play too recklessly on offense, which can hurt his team on that end of the floor on occasion.
Still, he is a gifted athlete that can provide tremendous value to a team on the defensive end, and he is an underrated scorer off the dribble. As of now, he may be a good find for an NBA team in the second round of the upcoming draft.
